Double check to be sure you mount the right speaker in the right hole and the left speaker in the left hole. And remember, left and right is facing the speakers, not looking at them from the fairing side. You don't want the wrong sound coming out the wrong side. ;^)
And if you have an Ultra or other model with rear watch out. You don't want the music to sound like the band is behind you.
Good point. And then there are those radio commercials with siren sound effects.

Iclick: My Roadglide only has front speakers, and with the Hogtunes speakers my wife can hear them just fine.

Nobody mentioned that there are differentlength screws that hold the speakers to the fairing. You want to make sure you get the right screw in the right hole or you can punch a hole through your fairing

Short screws on bottom where there is less space between speaker and fairing

does it really matter

Question for anyone here: Has anyone installed the Hogtune speakers and amp with a single set of speakers (i.e., none on rear)? Is there any advantage to this, and can you buy the amp outside the kit? I'm getting no distortion and decent sound with the HT speakers and stock amp, but more power might drive the speakers better and provide a fuller sound, like more bass.
That is my set up, just speakers in the fairing. I originally just had theHogtune speakers and then added the amp later onto my SG. Yes, the amp is a very nice improvement over the limited power from the head unit and yes Pez does sell the amp by itself.
