Default front brake pulsing

Hey all i hv a 2009 S/G with 5300 miles. The front brake handle pulsates when i squeeze it. I measured both rotors..one side is out 0.002 and other side is out 0.005. From what ive read this is within allowable limits. Could the rotors be causing the pulsing or maybe something else? Thanks in advance for your replies.

My 2008 Ultra did the same thing at 6500 miles. The dealer measured the rotors and they were within specs but it was pulsating so bad they replaced the rotors and pads under warranty and that cured it. Now at 26,000 it is pulsating again I guess this time it's on me.

HD spec is it has to be more than 0.008 out, before they take any action.

You'll "feel" .005 in the lever. Try to re-torque the rotor bolts, particularly if its had a tire replacement, a lot of shops remove the rotor/s to get it on the changer/balancer, and they dont necessarily exercise caution or care when slaping them back on. It solved my rear woob-woob-woob problem.

Ya might want to consider replacing them with floating rotors. Don't bother with the Harley FRS. They're just as bad as the solid rotors.

good advice. Happened on my back wheel. Chased the removed the rotor, chased the threads and re-torqued. All was good again.
