Default Check Valve to Pump Fuel Line

Has anyone replaced the plastic tubing from the tank check valve to fuel pump with regular rubber fuel hose?

If so, what size did you use? I have the filter kit and am going to replace at my next oil change and service. I know these flex lines are prone to failure and am hoping it can be replaced with standard fuel hose.

Thanks!!
