Wow, the only thing my 2012 is doing is making me smile and costing me a lot of money in farkle. It is crazy that a 24K bike is a starter kit. :-)

If it is box stock, which it sounds like I would be checking to make sure something did not get stuck up the exhaust or that the exhaust was not plugged either from the factory or by some other means. there are 1000's of stock bikes running around without overheating even tho they get hot.

Make sure your lubricants are topped off and run it till it fuses into a molten mass of aluminum and steel. Better yet, run it till the engine fits loosely into a 5 gallon bucket. You're on record as having a problem with overheating, it's all on them now. It's a shame really....we have guys on here doing their utmost to keep their bikes cool (lower temp thermostats, cooling fans, synthetic motor oils, etc.) and the MoCo is trying their darnest to overheat 'em or just plain ignore the fact that there's a problem.

You are not to require to do any modification to make it run cooler it should run fine as it is and in any weather conditions, need to raise some hell or ride the crap out of it until blows up and then make it their problem instead of yours. On my 07 transmission was giving me run around tech said its fine until the transmission smoked and they put new one after that.

Do what they said, blow it up, then dump it on the dealer!

It is my understanding that one should use the HD Dino oil 'til, a minimum, of the 1000 mile change to allow the engine to settle in.

I made sure I gave the HD factory oil a chance to do it's work before I put in Amsoil synthetic.

I did confirm that there was oil in the engine and tranny. It can be an item missed during assembly.

I would just ride it and make sure you maintain it as per factory recommendations. Keep excellant records in the event that you do end up with a problem. If you do have a problem... It is under warranty.

Otherwise, just enjoy it.

How did you get to this point from what the guy wrote.

Sounds all stock to me.

Also, many people don't bother to join/post to a board until an issue like this drives them to it. Maybe they find value in it and stay, maybe they don't but we should help them out.

Give the dealer & HD one more time to fix it, document the hell out of everything. Who you spoke to, when, exact times and names, etc. then confer with a lawyer and follow their advice in terms of what has to happen next, etc. but keep that to yourself for now.

Then, with that new info/education work with the dealer and eventually tell them you're next step is to get a lawyer if they don't do something and then let the lawyer(s) take it from there.

Name names too. What dealer?

Best of luck.
