Hello all bought 2012 roadking back in April..check this out only 600 miles on it..in shop more than garage..dealer has been unable to fix due to red tape from factory..finally had chance to ride it put 15 miles on it freeway at 65 with temp in low 90...starts rattling and come to stop light dead and would not start till sat for hour...oil like water...dealer said need to change air and pipes with new tuner..2500 to fix called factory and of course the hd run a round keep riding till 1000 miles or take to different dealer

Any ideas out there as dealer wants $$$ to fix and HD wants way to get out of warranty

 

why isnt that a warranty issue? what are they telling you? did you mod it some way or is it all stock?

 

BS on the dealers fix. That bike should run as delivered not rattling and coming to a stop. It needs to be fixed under warranty, I would be taking it to another dealer.

 

Dude, you need to find another dealer and take your buke to them and see what they can do.

 

Find another dealer. Hope you have a good fuel stabilizer in the tank, with all that sitting the gas has got to be old.

 

I'm always a little skeptical when someones first (second) post is to complain about a Harley that is a complete lemon. Maybe. If so, sorry for you, man. But I'm skeptical.

 

I was going to say 50%/50% on the Troll issue...

 

whats the current config and who did it. sounds like the bike has unauthorized upgrades done by dealer A and dealers B, C,E, etc will not be able to warranty work it unless the bike is returned back to stock.

 

Yeah, we've both seen quite a few.

 

Sorry you think that ..this is number six new ...and all five never gave me problem..well at least under warranty..this one all stock for now..first 50 miles stator went bad..and was hoping that was it till can save some chips to open up EPA
