I just took one of my old bulky plastic ones and took the casing apart and carry the guts only....cheap i had it around ...smallest one i found..already used it several times...
I got one of these at Wal-Mart for $10.00. It's been used several times on trips and works great. It's small and easily fits in the fairing glove boxes or your saddlebag.

Can anyone recommend a small, quality air compressor to pack on the bike. Saw a small Slime model for $15 today but looked pretty cheap. If I gotta haul it,it better work when I need it.
Buy any cheap small one and try it in your garage before you pack it away in the saddlebag.
If it works at home, it will work on a trip.
The HD one has been working fine for me for a year - I even use it to inflate the kid's bike tires. The built in flashlight has come in handy once or twice as well.
