Can anyone recommend a small, quality air compressor to pack on the bike. Saw a small Slime model for $15 today but looked pretty cheap. If I gotta haul it,it better work when I need it.
i got the HD one, ya i paid more but what ever. comes in a pouch so it wont get beet up in the bottom of the bags. havent used it yet.
think i paid $35 for it.
I have the Slime one. Little slow on tires, works great on the air shocks if you need to add a little air on the road tho. Mine has worked both times I've used it and it fits pefect in the lowers glove box.
Do some researching, this is what I have and it got good reviews on a few of the sites that test MC accessories, helmets, etc...In operation, it doesn't jump & bounce around on the ground like other units.
I got the H-D one. The pouch fits the hard bag perfectly, it plugs into the battery tender pigtail, has a built-in light and has a little extension hose to make it easy to use under the bike.
Go to a bicycle shop and get CO2 cartridges and an inflator. It will take 4 or 5 cartridges to inflate a mc tire. Much more compact to carry.
I went the CO2 route also, got the larger size only need to pack 2 of them. If I get a flat tire thats enough to fill it once I use my plug kit that is also needed if you plan on doing the repair on the road.
