Default head buffeting

can't figure this out i can't see at 65mph with a 8.5 inch clear view windshield on my 2012 sg. I know a lot of the turbulence is coming from underneath the bat wing. I went to the dealer today and RGs have a plastic piece that snaps to the top of the engine guard. Not sure it that will help any but put the pieces on my bike but with full handlebar throw the blinkers hit.. Is there anything made for the SG. I don't want to put the vents on the bottom of the batwing either. next Wind splitter windshield or Klock werks. I love the bike but no fun when you can't see.\

But what if it is the vents on the bottom of the bat wing that fixes the problem? Not saying it will but what if? The adjustable wings will let you open them if you want the wind in your face.

Are you looking through the windscreen or over it ?

Try a smaller winscreen, and, with less air disturbance = less buffeting i.e get in the clean undisturbed air.

Well, it just comes down to this. You can look cool with out all of the wind dampering devices and ride with a blurred vision or ride without a helmet.

I don't ride a street glide but if I did I would use every wind dampering device I could find until the buffeting was gone. But again I am not out to impress anyone with my cool looks. I'm 61 yoa and just want to be comfortable so I can enjoy the ride. By the way I do wear a helmet and hi-vis orange jacket with protection in elbows, shoulders, and back, when I ride my grandpaw Ultra.

You probably wouldn't want to be seen with me.

Id recommend a good shield, and a set of fairing mounted deflectors. that usually will solve the problem

Those vents are your answer. They would solve your problem. I cannot ride with those vents open without a lot of buffering immediately.

I look over the windshield i hold my hand up and the wind hits the top of my head so not right in the face. hold my hand down at the bottom of the batwing feel a lot of buffeting so i think thats the problem .. I can't be the only one with this problem
