fluid leak/crash resulted

I have a 2007 Road King (or had)....coming home from work it started to wobble and increased as I proceeded up the road to pull over....I lost control of the bike causing me to slide, striking a tree. Damages were severe and they totalled the bike....I believe it was a fluid leak and the seals failed. My insurance has doubled because of the accident and I have asked for a hearing to dispute it....has anyone ever heard of this happening and have any suggestions...no help on either part of bike shop or insurance company

Where was the fluid leaking from?

Ummmm, which fluid? Which seal?

gotta be like riding on ice.

supply more details.

even with the rear all squirrely as long as the front is tracking there shouldn't be a problem, given enough space and time to gather wits

Had an oil pump go out on my 03 Heritage that had the breathers vented via hoses down under the frame. Got a bit sideways at 65+ when it happened but was able to save it.
Take a real close look for where the fluid may have come from.

Was there a trail of the fluids leading up to the tree? What kind of fluids? I have never heard of a catastrophic loss of fluids from a seal..... at least not enough to cause loss of control.

I'm startin' to smell a rat (but I'll give it a little more time)!

I had a bike in the 70s that blew a oil line to the cooler and it caused me slide all over the place....but i didn't crash...
