Default Cold Air Intake

Or at least my $54.92 version. Built one like it for every bike I've owned just took a couple months to get around to it this time been to busy riding. I always make a custom emblem to cover the K&N any ideas\suggestions?

I think it looks good the way it is and beats the stock cowbell on 90% of the bikes on the road. I have the SE Heavy Breather.

Great job. That's some bucks saved for fuel and beer. Nice one!

Looks great. When you bought the K&N assembly it came with the filter back plate and front plate?

So this pic is of the k&n backplate and the cut air filter plate. This is because the back of the k&n has an odd opening in the back. How thick is the filter. That is how far from the motor does everything stick out? Looks like 4". Does it hit your leg.

Correct the assy comes with a back plate and the cover.

Excellent point I forgot to mention it does stick out a bit over 4" and does hit my leg.
I'm 6'4" and have dealt with this on other bikes but it is def worth pointing out that a 2-3" assy might be better to build it with.

This assy would be better suited for mod (will not stick out as far). I used the assy I all ready had along with two extra filters for it.
