When I turn my ignition switch to start my 08 Ultra, the lights and fuel pump will not turn on unless I hold the switch to the right. As soon as I let go of the switch the bike dies... Any ideas???

 

get a replacement switch

 

Sounds like it's time for a new one.

 

have had to slightly move/bump the ignition switch to start bike and once just after takeing off. If it starts to be more then that im going to replace it,there are some threads on how to rebuild them on here.sounds like your at that point.

woundering if there is some trick to fixing it ,I dont know ,maybe spray it with something from the small hole underneith?

 

When mine (on my '07) started acting up it went downhill FAST. Within a few days it was done, wouldn't work at all.

 

This has happened on my 06' a couple of times recently. Every time, I turn it off then back on and it has lit up and run the fuel pump. I guess it won't be long before I have to replace mine. Are they expensive? and can they be rebuilt?
