General Statement: Many of my customers have said that a 1/2 helmet to a full face does increase the head shake especially for those with a flip-up visor that they leave open often. The larger full face helmet catches the wind more than a smaller one does & the open visor is like a big scoop catching the air. Something to consider.....
Each windshield company has their own design and each design has their own air management properties. Severly formed units like the KW allows more air to get by than a re-curved Aero shield does. Its just a matter of square inches of material in the air flow.
A person in the 6'2-6'4 range will generally pick a 9 or 10 inch Aero windshield and be satisfied with the results but there are many variables that can change that. Helmets, riding position, seat design, long legs vs long body...etc. all affect the riders choice.
The fairing & windshield are fixed in one position so the air flow around & over them only changes with speed. The Rider is not in a fixed position and is a moving target behind the Fairing. Then there's the perception of the rider as to what they want & how well any windshield will accomplish that.
Since I designed the Aero I fully believe that its the best design compromise for function & style on the market & the Ballastic Polycarbonate material I use is second to none. Thats why I have a 1 year manufacturing warranty against defects. No other company offers that.
If anyone has questions about the Aero windshield & what size is best for them, please give me a call & we can talk as long as you need to make a well informed decision.
