Anyone have experience with Harley's flared windshield for the road glide, similar to the klock werks windshield. I am considering the 9 inch and want to know how it does deflecting the wind. I am 6 feet tall.

My RG came with a 12" WindVest windshield. I'm 5'10", and the buffeting seemed worse than my '06 RG did with its stock windshield.
But if I dropped my head down a couple of inches behind the 12", the buffeting got much better. So I got a 14" WindVest, and it's way better than the 12" was.
Before HD came out with their flared windshield I bought a National Cycle V Stream in stock height. It has worked well and limited most of the buffeting. I'm 5'9" and can easily look over or through it.
I am 6' and have a Clearview stock height recurve. Does great and does not have that "melted plastic" look. I get a little wind at the top of my hairline but that is fine since it keeps me cool. If I need to I just slouch to get out of it.
i have the original 12'' windsplitter. i like it fine, but, i am only 5'4''. the flip at the top of the shield directs the wind mostly over my head. i do get some wind in the face, which i think is fine, it isn't so bad that it yanks my helmet back, or causes my glasses to rattle, etc. i do change it out in the winter for the 15'' windsplitter for better protection in the cold.
most taller folks don't care for the 12'', so i would imagine the same would hold true for the 9''. but it all depends on your 'wind tolerance', etc...
good luck, finding the perfect shield can be a very difficult task. you can check with long ride shields, i think they are having a 40% forum discount promotion going on right now.
The first thing that I did was install the Wind Splitter on the 12 RGC. I had one on the Ultra and it worked great.
I am 6'3" and the air goes up over the helmet. I positive side affect is the wind curls a little down in front of my face shield and carries off the rain drops. Don't have to wipe them away. They go forward into the wind stream up from the windshield and away. Strange to watch the drops flying forward.
Got to www.roadglide.org and look at the windshield section. Your gonna get 100 different opinions on windshields but the Harley wind splitter isn't well liked. I have never ran one but at $150+ on any windshield for these bikes, you may want to look at all opinions and manufacturers. Lots of info on RGs over there.
