I have an 8" Flare shield on my '09 RG. I have only ridden once since installation and there were 15-20mph winds with 30-35 gusts. Even in all of that I thought it worked well.
I have on 09 Road Glide with the 12" Klockwerks Tinted Shield. I also have a Harley Reach seat and am about 5'7". I find that above 55 to 60 mph, I still getting buffeting on my helmet. It is less so than the stock Harley screen, though. Looks cool but doesn't do that much for the price in my opinion. I also notice that bugs get on my facesheild of my Shoei Helmet. I'm probably going to get the taller stock harley windshield or a different windshield. But, the shield might work for you, just doesn't do much for me.
yes first off Iam 6'1'' tall with a 32 inseam and it is OK in the summer just gave up on wearing glasses on the road and use goggles love the look but am seriously looking into the CB 15" if I was 2 or three inches shorter would probably work better
I had the CW 12 (pictured on my bike as I have not updated it yet) and I was not real pleased. I sold it to a guy for 50 bucks. I am running the C-Baily now and it is much better (for me) and still retains the look.
I'm 6'0" with 32" inseam and stock seat. I have the KW 8" and 12". They look great but the wind noise is bad. My wife even said the 8" has to go. I had to dig out my 3/4 helmet to tolerate it. I'm looking for the next new windshield!
