Does anyone know the size on the 3 screws that hold the SE round stage one air filter on. Are they torque bolts. I tried a 32 but it was feeling like it wanted to strip. Filter is dirty and needs cleaning. much thanks.
If so tight that they may strip; Install your 3/8" drive torx bit onto a 3/8" extension. Install into bolt and "rap" it with a hammer to impact it loose. This works on your primary cover bolts also. If you do strip out the heads you can drive an allen bit into the stripped hole and turn them out that way. If riders dont have a complete set of 3/8" drive allen and torx bits in metric and standard, get them. They are priceless.
Be careful that you don't strip those bolts!!!!!!! I used a torx that was too small on my primary cover and ended up having to drill it out-wasn't pretty.
Mine are allen or 27 torx. Always someone using loctite were they should not. Ask me why I know. Finally had to use vice grips to get one out.
I've always used loctite on mine....had to, on my softail hell I had to use it on my battery terminals because they came loose every week but need to use the blue "removeable" not red loctite.
If you are worried about stripping out the torx head replace them with bolts, I think they are 1/4-28 or 10-32 cant remember.

I think they are 1/4-20's(T-27) and torquing them to 32 ft. lbs. will strip/break them.
They probly get torqued to 85-100 inch pounds w/blue Loctite
