So I dropped the bike off. I specifically asked why he wanted to deck the heads vs doing pistons. His answer was that it allowed him to control compression. He wanted to be in the 9.7 - 9.8 range. He said that there wads less chance of ping and that if you get somewhere that you can't get hi octane gas it would run better.

Per the advice of a couple of guys on this forum I ended up taking the bike to Mac's V-twin in Wentzville, Mo. I dealt with Cliff. I told him what I was looking for and he said he would talk to some guys and get back with me. I take it he has been doing this for quite a while. He has a guy that does heads for him and a Dyno guy locally that he uses.

His plan is first thing Monday morning to do a base run with his Dyno guy then pull the heads and get them started. What impressed me was a couple of things.....When I went in I made a couple of cam recommendations, When he got back with he told me that he didn't think any of them I suggested were good choices. he explained that he had spoke with the guys from S&S , His Dyno Guy, and the head guy, and they had come up with a total approuch that they thought would meet my needs. He took the time to sit down and talk with me.

He told me that he would be disapointed if they couldn't me 20 more lbs of torq.

With those cams I would expect similar numbers as FuelMoto's 107 with head work. 125 tq and 112 hp. Good luck.

I was a bit disapointed with the power from the 110 stock. I did true duals, mufflers, and an SE tuner. Decided i wanted to get even more power across the entire range. I ride 2 up a lot. I still wanted the bike to be reliable.
