Deep but too "tinny". The MGS I heard is more deep and powerful and sing when you get on it but with that unique true dual sound. Don't know how to describe it...just different. Opinions are like ******** but my opinion is a Touring bike looks better with duals rather than 2-1. Dyna, Sportster and some soft ails are decent with a 2-1 and I guess a handful of touring but that's ones that are more of the show style. CFR has been getting a lot of praise for being the deepest and best sounding as well as loud. Sound clips of CFRs sound really good and last I talked to Cary Fass about a month ago, he said he is releasing his dual headers.......only problem is, CFR is pretty expensive
and the CFR have horrible low end torq. Yes they duals look better to SOME and if that is your thing then the ghost pipe is an option. As far as D&D vs TH I'll take the D&D personally, looks better, better finish, and better sound IMO. But heres where its up to YOU listen and choose your own path

MGS TD would be my choice.
MGS, that's what I run also.
do a search for them, lots of info on them, sounds is really nice deep tone that wakes up when you twist the throttle.

From a visual aesthetics standpoint, the Thunderheader loses to most.

I'm leaning that way. Been meaning to call them, and will soon.

I have a gutted head pipe with 3 1/2" Rineharts. Loud enough to sound like a Harley, and to be heard in traffic, but not enough to get a ticket every time you start up, or be annoying or obnoxious to everyone around. This along with SE intake gives about 12 or 13 HP when coupled with a Power Commander V.

Keep in mind that anything you do to get louder will probably require a tuner to get proper fuel mixtures.

Welcome to HDF from the blissful peace and quiet of the UK! Moderation in all things is a good thing, even in 'loud'! Think of your neighbours and your own hearing!!!!
