On my 08' FLHX...........Ebay search street rod LED tail lights.

Then Auto Zone for a Hopkins 5 wire to 4 wire trailer light converter. Guys that dont have the tail light in the middle of the fender can use your converter on your lower tri light.

Check my Avatar . Lights on bags (LED) were from Ebay, on fender i just went to Autozone and replaced with LED's. All made to work with the Badlands run, turn, brake module.

Richard has been a big driving factor in making my decision to do the same. Have a 2012 SG. Using a Yaffee Stealth 3 Universal plate frame. It will hide all the original light bar mounting holes. Out to paint right now. Anxious to see how it all looks when completed. Newer bikes (not sure of years) have a built in converter in the rear of the TriBar light housing. Ring out the wires coming from that, and you can make your own harness, and retain the TriBar light. Good luck!

My FLHX is 09 w/tail, but can't speak enough about "Plasma Rods." They really add to your rear illumination.

I replaced the rear tailight with the LED one from Custom Dynamics. I believe it has over 100 LED's and it is BRIGHT. I also did the Tri-Bar Run/Brake Light Upgrade. I am quite happy with this set-up, and it is very noticeable. I have also seen some good reviews from "Bright *** Lights", which apparently is a simple plug and play / swap with your existing tail light. ANY upgrade to the rear lights is better than stock. It was one of the first mods I've done with every Harley I've owned.....

I also added all LED's, my riding buddies have no issues seeing my rear light.

Harley LED tail light, Tri-light upgrade [why didn't they just do that from the start??? - rip off artists.]

Recently bought Badlands turn signal LEDs and the load equalizer. Good people there.
