I think LRS are made of acrylic. Not near as tough as polycarbonate. Look nice though.

I've been happy with my 9" ultra recurve. Prices are very reasonable, and quality is good enough for my needs. I also have a taller clearview shield that's nice, but I prefer LRS shape, and co$t.

I have a 10" Flat Top LRS. It works. I believe it is "modified acrylic". LRS does offer a polycarbonate recurve.

I had both the 9" and 11" on my 95 Ultra. The 9" was great for normal use since you look over the top of it. I got the 11" for cool weather and foul weather riding since it offered more protection from the wind (and rain). However, since they're made of acrylic (plexiglass) instead of polycarbonate (Lexan), they diffuse the direct sunlight more than a normal windshield. Riding into a rising sun in the morning or setting sun in evening made the windshield difficult to see through clearly. That was my only issue with them. Otherwise, they worked well for the money.

Yep, they work great. With stock seat and being 5'10 I easily see over the 9" acrylic recurve with fine protection. Never have to look through it. As another has noted these guys offer an acrylic and a polycarbonate version. Also, excellent customer service on exchanges and good guide on their web site for ordering correct size.

I have the 8" clear and just ordered 8" medium tint. Great price and it works great for me.

I bought one 18 months ago and honestly I think it's the best comfort mod I've done. Much less wind on my forehead and I can hear the radio ten times better. As far as it holding up and scratching, I live in south Louisiana where the bugs are the size of small birds and out number people 1,000,000:1. With all the scrubbing I've had to do to remove bug guts, it's still scratch free. Pricewise, you can't beat it. What some of the other companies are asking for the shieds is plain crazy in comparison. I'd buy another one in a heartbeat.

I've had the recurve for about a year. It is absolutely head and shoulders above the stocker. It has held up great and looks awesome. The pricing is excellent - I'm planning to get another this season, just a couple inches higher for fall/winter.
