Default PV Log Tune

I'm trying to learn tuning and using the log tuner for the Power Vision. My question is it says remove 4 to 6 degrees of spark advance when creating the log tune. Do you add 5 degrees back to spark advance once you create the new tune? I have a fair bit of knock adjustments and want to get them in the spark table. Just not sure if I should leave it with the 5 degrees removed or not.

Default Try the PV thread...

There is a massive thread (near to 4000 posts) over in the Electrical/Ignition/Tuner/ECM/Fuel Injection section. Some very knowledgeable people have posted a lot of great information. It might be worthwhile to search or post your query over there.

If your PV doesn't have auto tune icon, you need to run the update client in the program folder. It. will install auto tune and quick tune buttons. You then only have to select auto tune and make a couple of choices and then go ride. Really simple and works. There is a video on dynajet web with details.

as mcw999 pointed out, you're likely to get a much more indepth response to your question in the Powervision thread.

but to answer your question, with AT and closed loop tuning if I read my manual and fuel moto's directions correctly and am understanding what I read, the device will automatically pull about 4 degrees timing while tuning then when done it puts it back in.

the Auto tune works great with either stock or better the broadband O2's. Look at the video and it will show you how to use it. It is so much easier than using the log tune program. http://blogs.dynojet.com/index.php/2...ideo-tutorial/ Here is the link to it.
