Thanks Easter bunny
The bike it replaced was a 2004 1300VTX. It was the first "NEW" bike I ever bought and it was harder than I thought to let it go. I bought it in Nov of 2003 after going in to look at a used wide glide at Lighthouse Harley in Huntington NY. Got such an attitude from the sales people and management that I walked out the door and into the honda place down the street. Never set foot back in the place. Ironically when I first had issues with it I walked into the Kawi/honda place here in town and got the same attitude...with the same result.
The road king is a 2009 and appears to be completely stock.

2009 is the new frame so there are some choices if you want to sit down in the bike, a seat may help but for a lower in the saddle/ bike there are some kits available but they are not cheap..
I've sseen the lowering kits on ebay but they all say they only fit the hard painted saddle bags. I really didn't understand why until I looked at one of the bikes at work. The cut out for the shocks on the painted bags is alot larger and i guess the lowering kit changes the angle of the shock. The leather bags it seems the cut out is just a little larger than the shock itself.
Saying not a valid email address?
The easter bunny rode it there. he got a ticket from California highway patrol on the way for riding without a helmet, I read the news article.
