Default Factory oil pressure switch removal advice

I'm going to install the Jerzees oil pressure gauge before we bazooka it to Laughlin and I'm looking at the factory oil sending unit wondering if there's a wrench size that fits or do I have to buy a special socket? I dont want to mangle it up using a channel lock so I thought I would ask those who've had it off?

I just did this a few month ago but I cant remember for sure how I removed it...I'm thinking I used a 12 point deep socket...I think it was 15/16

A pair of channel locks will do. They aint that tight and you are not re using it, They make a sensor socket but I only use it for sensors that are in a bad spot.

You are reusing it with this kit...I know I got mine off and on again without damage and I didn't have the special tool

Did you use a channel lock to get yours off or a 12 point socket? happen to remember what size socket if you did?
