Default Need Help DK Tour Pak Relocation Kit

Very confused here so hoping someone that has done this could chime in. Ask DK for help and she didn't really know what to do

DO I drill into the Tourpak with the template or do I drill into the plate DK provides with the template? Will I need to drill into both?

Really don't want to be drilling unless I am very clear where to drill...

If you have a template lay it in your trunk and see if the holes match up that should let you know if drilling the trunk is required.

To hell with it. Ordered a new kit from George. I knew I should have went that way to begin with.

Suggestion: Take chill pill and calm down before you do anything.

Next, take a look at the "after" pic and recognize how much more forward the hardware is located relative to the OEM location. To do that, the tour pak must be drilled.

Better, call DK in the a.m.

Props to DK for marketing a piece of sheet steel and $10 in hardwaree and selling it for $100. Gotta love free enterprise.

Got this from their website:

"A template is included with the instructions for holes you may have to drill in the Pak. Over the years The MoCo has had a variety of different hole patterns in the Tour-Pak bottom plate. Some models of the Tour-Pak have as many as 14 holes, some as few as 5 holes. When using the template you may find that you already have some, or all of the needed holes."
