Default Connecting Radio to Accessory connector

Hi ALL,

I'm a newbie here but have been reading thru the forums for quite some time getting helpful advice. Unfortunately I have not been able to find the answer to my specific issue, hence this post.

I have a Road Radio that I want to hook up to my 05 Road King accessory connector. The radio is a Sony CDX-GT260MP that has a black (ground), yellow (continuous power supply) and red (switched power supply) wires. On the 4 port accessory connector I obviously know where the ground connects, just not sure of the other 2 wires. Any advice??

Thanks in advance!

I am not familiar with the accessory connection on a on a Road King. I think that they are switched power leads. You will have to run the continuous power to the battery directly. If that wire does not have a fuse, You may want to add one. The other you could run to the accesory wire. That would allow the radio to turn off when the bike was shut down.

So just to clarify I should connect the continuous power wire from the radio to my B+ connector?

I have a pdf version of the manual, but I'm just not finding any specifics on connecting a radio.
