Question bike tronics retro radio no power to HU

This is a problems with getting a new head unit and now I have no power to it. First let me tell you what I have.
Biketronics BT1004x for 96-97 electraglide
Kappa 6.5 speakers { only 2}
sony mex 5100bt

The reason for the new head unit was the old sony had an intermitten rash of issues like unable to turn radio stations and getting stuck in demo mode to little to no volume. {ghost?} so I went down and purchased this new sony head unit thinking my problems will be gone. I get her all buttoned up {easy the sony has the same color wires as the biketronics} and I have no power on my head unit. I replaced the ground wire. then ran the ground back to the battery... nothing. anyone else have this issue?

Hi,

You should have power on the red and yellow wires when the bike is on, do you know which wires do not? There is a radio fuse (red wire) and a radio memory fuse (yellow wire) on the bike you can check also.

Take a couple pics of your wiring and post them up.

From the HU from retro radio kit should be black to black, red to red, and yellow to yellow. I wouldn't bother running the radio ground back to the battery. Check your splices as well. And make sure your battery is good and charged as well.

Biketronics walked me through my wiring harness and back to get power back to my HU. Turned out it was my bikes issue not the BT retro radio harness. Thank you biketronics! !!!

Biketronics has great tech support. Hopefully your bike issue has a quick fix.
