Default Dancing arrow tach

Recently noticed that arrow of a tachometre began to dance, then zero is up sharply. Disassembled, contacts in oxides, brushed rubbed and spray antirust, like working. Now again dancing. Contact wires from the tachometer is not reliable, there teeth instead of pads with contacts, made not qualitatively. At the speedometer contact group is much better done. How can i correctly solve the problem?

I found it on ebay like mine, you can see the contact group. How it is better to clean it ?

Looks to me like a Dremel with a wire wheel is what you need to get it cleaned up. Then coat the contacts with some dielectric grease.

Maybe, but the contacts are very fragile and they bend. I think the best quality will make a new connector with a soldering iron.

By the way, the reason why such a difference in the connectors on the same model year? In the new motorcycles connectors better.

I took apart a contact group and noticed that one blade was bent, straightened it. Drove about 40 miles, no problem. All right.

Had a similar problem on a metric bike and found conflicting signals from the two ignition coils is what made the needle bounce....irritating isn't it?

Fortunately my problem solved easier, a little uncomfortable when the needle jumps. The technique should work. ))
