Hey there all, new to the forum and a new Harley owner here, just bought an 07 FXD Pewter Pearl.
Anyway what I am curious about is how you all have added a tach to your Dyna's. I have searched though some catalogs and haven't found much and I am curious where to purchase and is the installation easy. I am assuming that it will get tach info from the engine computer, thanks in advance.

I bought my FDX because I wanted to "build" my own look and, believe it or not, just love the clean tank look. But, I never liked the way the speedo looked, so I bought a Digital Dakota and all my problems were solved. Not only does it have a great look but I now have a tach and the read out options are amazing. I know it's a lot of $ just to add a tach but with the look and additional features it's well worth the money.

Thanks for the replies all, lets see some pics of the dakota digital unit on your bike.
HD sells a drop in/plug n play speedo-tach combo for the 4" speedo console...kind of pricey @ $499 but i found one on ebay for $200...took about 15 minutes to install the first time...probably take 5 minutes from now on...:>)
Thanks for the info guys. I looked at the drop in style speedo and tach but my FXD doesnt have that style. I would really love to put the handle bars, tach and speedo off of a FXDSE screamin eagle 07 model, I love that look, but where in the hell would I find the parts. Thanks again guys.
