You say it didn't work from day one--You mean the lighter didn't work, or an accessory? I wrecked mine with a cell phone charger!

If you dont want it held hostage for 2 weeks, call ahead and make an appointment, show up and that time is dedicated to your bike, wait while they fix it. My dealer is extremely busy all the time, so as service time approached (prepaid maintenance 1,5 and 10K) I made an appt showed up, got in, watched the tech with stink eye and rode out 1-2 hours later. After the 10K is done, it will never see the dealer again unless its an issue that is above and beyond me.

I'd try a new lighter first. Then check with a meter to see if power is even going to the back of the lighter socket.

Yeah that.
Simple, stick test light in the socket and see if you are drawing any power (with ignition or ACC on). If no power and plugs are secure on back of socket like you said, there is a break in the wiring somewhere. Back to the dealer it goes.

This is a VERY simple device with really no parts to go bad.

Shouldnt take long at all. I brought my SG in for warranty repair of the saddlebag locks. The service guy had me in & out in less than 30 min.

Default Issue Resolved....

So after countless hours of pulling what little hair I have left.. And looking at the bike line by line.. fuse by fuse....And countless searches on the internet... A post by UltraNutz and few others shedded some light on the P&A or (P & something?) fuse... Yesterday went back into the lab (cooking up some marverlous sh.t for this 2013 road glide) I check that fuse.... tell me why there was NO FUSE in that slot at all... This control the lighter and the ACC switch both works now.... Big ups to all the replies and helping me, to sort this nightmare out....
