I had the 888s on my V Star 1100 and really liked them. The rear tire had about 16,500 miles on it when I traded the bike in for my Street Glide. The tire was showing very little wear at 16,500 miles. The tire was a 180 and I ran it at 48psi (cold). I know the V Star is about 200lbs lighter but the 88 would have easily went 20,000+ miles on that bike. I will most likely go with the 888 tires on the Street Glide when it comes time for new tires. The V Star had Dunlop 404 tires on it and the back tire was a slick at 8000 miles.

I believe tire pressure and load rating vary with same model of tire. My 02 Ultra has a 72 & 74 load rating. I think the new Ultras are a little heavier. The max pressure stamped on the side of both my tires is 40-PSI. I road a 300 mile trip this weekend, 2-up loaded with gear, and really like how these handled. Had 38 in the front & 40 in the back. I would be extremely happy if I got 16,000 miles out of them. Read some negative feedback about tires manufactured in Brazil; no problems with mine. If I had to find a fault it would be the ridged sections on the side walls where the Metzeler logo is; collects dirt and hard to keep clean. The 880's have smooth side walls, wonder why they didn't make the 888's the same way.
