Default Not happy with the Mini Beast Horn!!

Bought and installed a new Mini Beast Horn 2-months ago.

Heard something rattling on the bike and found the bracket that holds one of the horns had cracked.

What a cheap piece of crap bracket!

I was gonna just fab a new bracket out of some aluminum stock, but I got to looking at the horn and it's just cheap plastic and was cracked in about 3 places.

For what these horns cost, you would think the quality would be better.

I know Pro Pad will warranty it, but not really even sure if I want another one, it's probably gonna do the same thing.

I liked the Horn for being loud, but quality sucks.

Hate to hear things like this, but thank you for sharing with the rest of us!

As long as you've already spent the money, if they won't refund, I would damn sure make them replace it! You'd might as well get what use you can out of it.

Mini beast is a wolo/stebel horn which is plastic and made in Italy. They sell for sbout 50 bucks. The extra cost is for the quality covers and the way its mated with the cover. I have 2 with over 20k miles with no problems.

I'm sure they'll replace it, they have a 3-year warranty, it's just gonna be a PITA to return it to them and then wait for the replacement. I know sometimes "**** happens", but unless they've improved the quality of the brackets, I think I'm gonna be doing this again in a couple months.

Mine is supposedly the "new style" (no air compressor). It has two horns inside the cover, one "high" pitch and one "low" pitch.

Both horns are Stebels and are chrome plated plastic. The bracket that holds the horns to the main bracket is very thin metal.

Had I bought a cheap horn, I would just figure I got what I deserved, but I paid $154.00 for this.

Gonna call the company tomorrow and see what they say.

I have one also. Quit working while still under warrantee. I kept the cover and electrics and just sent the horn as requested. They had no issue sending me another quickly but, the replacement was a used one that had been repaired. It worked fine but, looked like crap, at least the one I sent to them looked like new. Still have it in a box. Didn't seem like I needed it with the new bike. My new horn is unfrickingbeleivable.
Its for sale for 75.00 if anyone is interested, the mini beast that is.

Thanks, I was trying to stick to all electric and no compressor, but might end up going that way.
