if it is made by man it will fail. the question is when ? my step father bought a brand new Toyota ( because they will run for ever with out any problems......not ! ) and they forgot to put the valve cover gasket in from the factory the out leaked out on to the exhaust manifold on his trip home and it burned up in the driveway I am sure there will be some bugs to work out and they will take care of it

Sorry to hear of your woe's. I just though that now the MCO is back to marking its spot. Oil leaks are a thing of the past so this might be how the (old school) thing works.

To this day, I still feel that the Limited is the best value motorcycle that
Harley makes period!

To the OP, What has the dealership said since this has happen, have they came and picked up the scooter yet?

This is not the first time that I have heard about leaks on the new 2014 MY "twin-cooled" motorcycles, and am sure that it won't be the last either.

Keep up posted and good luck with everything. Hopefully it's just a simple fix and then you can go out and truly enjoy your new ride.

That sucks. I hope it's and easy fix for you. Maybe you should get the extended warranty.

I'd be pissed to no end. Yes, they'll fix it, but Definitely sucks. Cant they develop something that simple without hiccups?
There should be no reason a new bike is back in the shop that early in it's life for warranty work. There are times when manufacturers let there product go out the door, knowing damn well, it'll end up back for warr. work. Because they don't want to stock pile while waiting for a updated part. The customer is always the guinea pig and out, time and money.

The only reason the Motor Co. is watercooling the exhaust ports is so they came run these motors even leaner to meet the emission standards. It makes me want a new a bike even more.Not...................

I guess Harley's "Leak Free Years" will go down in history as the 1984-2013 models!
Damn, that sucks.
