Default Octane Blunder!

Made a blunder today. Pulled in to my local Sunoco station to fill up my`11 Street Glide. About half way home- realized I pumped 87 octane instead of premium!(dumb a**) Should I be very concerned? Consequences?? Thanks all.

Ride it out. If you feel really concerned, stop and get some octane booster. I wouldn't sweat it though, it's not going to blow up.

Half a bottle of octane boost and don't worry about it.....just think the guys in the west can't get 91 and definately 93 octane gas...and they ride......

OMG, you need to empty that tank ASAP and put the right fuel in it!

So go take a nice long ride.

You might hear some ping or run a little rough, but other than that it's really not a big deal. You can always add some type of octane booster...

All good responses, and I agree that it really isn't a big deal. As mentioned, you might get a little pinging, so I would make sure you don't lug the motor in any gear and not run it hard going up any grades, especially in high-gear.
