Default Who has a 103" that DOES have problems?

Just wondering how many 103" motors do have problems. Been riding 103" since first year of the current 103 motors 2010 FLHTK. Biggest problem I have had is spark plugs rusted on the outside. Have had various noises, but they don't get worse. Have had some exhaust brackets come loose, but that isn't 103 problem. I have seen one 2010 Triglide with a blown head gasket. He was riding 2 up and pulling a trailer in the heat. It was also 3 years old. Almost forgot the battery went out on mine if that counts.

Haven't heard of any 103 motors having issues except that one thread where the op was hoping everyone had problems with the 103". Seem like solid motors to me. I'd like to have one myself.

I have one that is almost 8 years old. I've got a little ticking sound that I'm in the process of shimming rocker arms for. Other than that, it's been rock solid!

Rusty spark plugs is common if you actually ride the bike a lot, other than when it's just sunny.
Exhaust bolts at the thick end come lose on mine too, after a service, after I did them up properly they have stayed done up.
Battery went at 18 months, got a new one under warranty.
various bits went rusty due to the salt air in Tenerife. Had them replaced and now use 365 anti corrosion spray every time I clean it. It's good stuff, stops the alloy rims going white.
Clutch cable is on the way out.
Engine idle went weird a few times, but only when it has been really cold and humid, and that has sorted itself out.
Apart from that I let it warm up whilst I get my gloves on and manoeuvre out of my yard then I ride it, rev it hard, and don't worry...............

I have heard various people in the industry refers to it as Harley's best yet, from an all around standpoint. They weren't knocking any of the others, they just favored the 103".

Have a 2010 FLHTK like yours , different color. Best bike I ever owned. Not a single issue.

I had the dealer install the 103 kit on the '08 before I took delivery and there were constant issues with that engine (comp, bearings, starter, noises and broke a primary chain) but the 2012 has the auto compression releases and not one issue.

I think there is a night and day difference between the upgrade from the '96 and the factory 103.

My brother in-law went through two motors. One at 70k and the other at 20k.
