Can someone give me the HD part number for the trim ring to use with the Truck Lite Phase 7 headlight. Also thought I saw on another post that you are supposed to leave the factory trim ring on and mount the frenched ring on top of it. Is that correct? Obviously I'm NOT very mechanically inclined and am stumbling with this just a bit. An earlier post said the part number was #69627-99, but, I'll be d****ed if I can make that one fit.
Thanks,

Yep, that is the correct part number and yes you put it over the stock headlight trim ring. Many have had issues with getting the gap to close but I had no issues with mine.

What holds the ring at the top? The tab that mine has on it comes straight down and doesn't come close to lining up with the hole at the bottom of original ring. With only one screw hole, when I line up the tab with that hole, I have a 1-1 1/2 inch gap at the top of the ring! Do I bend the tab on the French ring to about the same angle as the original ring?

The back lip of the frenched ring slides behind the OEM ring. There should then be a small nut and bolt at the bottom center on the frenched ring to tighten it down.
Yours is a split ring while mine isn't! I'm thinking after talking to several members of my HOG club tonight that the wrong ring was packaged, or, the wrong part number was put on this ring. Mine is a solid ring like the original with a tab that is welded at the bottom rather than a hole to screw it to the bracket like is on the original.
Bought it a 'Members Night only' shopping spree, ticket says non returnable, no exchanges, but, I talked to the GM last night at our HOG Christmas party and he said to bring it out and we would get it straightened out. Hope he is a man of his word. Thanks to all who posted.

Here's mine with the frenched trim ring. You have to loosen the screw on the original ring a little bit so the new rings lip can fit behind it. No gap if done right.
