I will be in Austin next weekend and plan on renting a bike while there. Any good rides in the area?

 

We just rented one last week in San Antonio. The dealer was very helpful and gave us all sorts of maps and ideas on where to go. Call the dealer and ask them if they do the same thing.

 

Caliente' HD is a great dealer in San Antonio. Rented from them twice. Head towards the Hill Country. The Three Sisters route is a great ride.

Lord yes. The best riding in Texas is very close. Google "Three Twisted Sisters". Also, if you're into WWII, the Nimitz Museum is great. It's in Fredericksburg. Which is right down the road from Luckenbach. Lots to do in that area. Have fun.

Take a ride on FM1431 from Round Rock to at least Marble Falls. Park Road 4 around Burnet is a good ride. The 3 Sisters are a must.

 

Some of the.best bar b que on the planet right in that area. Just make the loop. Great scenery and great burgers in Fredericksburg.

 

You MUST ride the Three Sisters, no finer ride in the state. Ride them all in one direction, then ride them the other direction.
