Default Rear Lighting Problems

Ok, so I used the search function and couldnt really find much. I went out for a ride today and pulling out onto the street I noticed my speedo/tach/odometer were not working. I pulled over left the bike running and did a quick walk around. My headlight was working but I did not have any running/brake/turn/or license plate lights in the rear. I turned the bike off, let it sit for a minute and turned it back on. After that all my gauges worked, but no power to rear. Ive checked every fuse and all are find. Switched my starter and brake relays to see if the brake was bad and that wasnt it. My bike is a 07 Street Glide, it does have a custom rear fender with frenched in running lights/turn signals and a set of the custom dynamics plasma rods as brake lights. Ive had this set up for over a year/4000+ miles with zero problems. And before that had the frenched in setup for 8000+ miles with no issues. I had my bike out about a month ago and had no issues? Before I started tearing into it, anyone have any ideas about whats going on. My multimeter is at work so I will probably just go grab another one. Any help on this is much appreciated. I hate wiring problems!!

Check the wiring under the rear fender.
Sometimes slips out of the loom and hits the tire.
Not good.

+1 on wires might be a clean brake because would think if it wasn't it would blow fuse

so custom wiring makes for unusual problems.

IF you have soldered joints, look there. Some of us have experienced the stranded wires breaking right where the tinning ends due to vibration.

if ALL your lights are dead, then that points to a bad ground wire.

which on a stock H-D is black

blue for Run

red/yel for brake

violet and brown are the turn signals ( and i always have to refer to diagram for which is which..)

Its not a custom harness, all stock up until where the connections are made for the new lights. Ive taken the bags and fender off, need a meter so I can see at what pt the power ends. I guess Ill have to play chase the ground wire and see what I can come up with. What I did notice is that I do have that small 3 led lights that are on top of my bag lids and those are getting power. I followed those and they do not tie into the same connector as the other rear lights. So correct me if I wrong but, Im guessing its the ground that goes to or from that connector thats under the seat??? Sound like a possibility??

Ok, so I think I have the problem isolated to the accessory fuse/wiring. Checked all my fuses with a meter and bingo. Fuses keep blowing right when I insert them. Checked the power to it and its getting 12v. Also checked the power to the brake fuse and its got 12v and also checked rear lighting connection under the seat , Im good there (12v thru blue wire), also checked continuity through each wire running under back fender, good there, so Ive got a couple questions.

1. Are the rear lights ran through the accessory fuse also? I dont know why
else the rear lights wouldnt be working.
2. Any problematic areas I should check for that accessory wire shorting out?
I didnt know if anyone had any similar problems.
3. Would the brake switch in handlebar somehow cause this? Thats the only
thing Ive touched since last spring besides usual maintenance: oil, etc
But I switched it out last May/June and didnt have any problems all riding
season and didnt have any problems. Did a fair amount of riding this
winter and dont think I had any problems but also just jetted around town
so I didnt really have anyone to tell me if there was a problem.
