Congratulations your're gonna love it. Properly maitained these bikes will last a long time. It seems to me that most folks really take pretty good care of their harley. I doubt you have anything to worry about.

I still have a kaw. 800 vulcan (for sale) and I would ride it home but I live on a dirt road that is now half mud it will be at least a week before it dries up.
