Another vote for RedWing's. I have a gortex version. Had them for 6 years now and have not had wet feet since I purchased them. The fit a narrow foot too.

I like western boots, H & H sells a rubber soled with a thick heel, in roper style, I've got them in black and brown, I also wear a pair of Red Wing Pecos boots that are great too. I buy online when they are on closeout.

If you do not take a serious look at Havana Joes you are just
looking for another pair of boots from China. Havana Joes are
made in Spain and are top quality, only two countrys know how
to make boots, Italy and Spain the rest are from China.
At least takje the time to check them out.

Brazil used to have great quality boots, can't seem to find anymore. Another vote for Red Wings, good quality. You've only got one pair of feet, treat 'em good.

Personally, I have different boots for different reasons. I have Cruiserworks boots that I wear when all I'm doing is riding or traveling on the bike. Heck, I even wear them as casual wear sometimes. I have Justin boots that I wear when I ride to work, which is most of the time. The Justins are more "presentable" in a professional atmosphere and I hate changing shoes once I get to work.

I like Ariat boots. They have a Gel insert in the heel, so with a walking heel or a roper heel they are "all day" comfortable. I prefer the Western style over the laced.

Good boot prices online at Sierra Trading post.

Interesting thread....I sell comfort footwear and I wear Red Wing most of the time and Wolverine laced gortex engineering boots with Ariat footbeds for long X-country trips. Love them both. The Wolverine provide better protection and warmth on the long ride. Each pair retails for over $150.

Cruiserworks boots are made specifically for bike riding, and mine are the best boots I have ever owned for riding. They are waterproof, have kevlar armor in the ankle area, they are light, look good, have good highway traction, and arecomfortable enough to wear while walking after you get done with the ride.

I have had two pairs of HD boots and they suck.

Regards,

bill
