Default OEM Shield Brackets - Road King

My new LR Shield should be here some time next week, and I'm thinking about picking up a second set of brackets, rather than tearing down the stock shield.
Curious if anyone knows the part number(s), or if there are any quality aftermarket replacements.

Thanks!

Don't know the numbers, but I do see them show up on ebay fairly regularly.

Wink

You can find part numbers for every part of your bike on any of the on-line parts websites, like this one.

Might be a special order on the hardware if it's available. Could be cheaper to get a complete shield at some of the discount online HD dealers like Kutter HD or Surdyke. They also offer good discounts on a replacement shield with brackets if you want new. Example is part # 57995-96 ( a 22" shield) for around $250 at Kutter.

As mentioned already, fleabay is a good bet on some descent used. Throw away the lexan and keep the brackets.

Thanks for the link, gr.
Damn near sh*t when I saw those prices, though I'm not sure why, should be used to that by now.
Will definitely keep an eye on ebay.

Thumbs up

At least Ebay prices will be more meaningful now! Best of luck in your quest.

Anyone know if the brackets from other removable shields (heritage, switchback, etc.) are the same? [I looked it up on that part site - they are different.]

Also, what years interchange? [I looked that up too - windshield p/n is 57994-94, from 1994-up.]

Thanks, Joe

You can investigate and answer that using the link in post #3.
