the only drawback to the extensions is the footboard brackets hit the ground before the footboards fold up. so you don't get any warning. but I like the roominess anyway

Got them ordered today from SOOS-kit and yes, I did need them for the passenger, have duels and tired of cleaning melted rubber off the exhaust. When I told her what I was getting it was the first time she ever smiled and was happy about me buying something for the bike. Happy Wife = Happy ride! Got 1" rider and 3/4" passenger.

i like the 3/4 inch for the rider and 1/2 inch for the passenger.
I'm cheap so I just make my own.
My wife has long legs so I dropped the FB down 1/2inch and out 1/2 inch.

Right on the money Joe RK12. My buddies now call me "sparky". I actually have ground off the footboard mount somewhat. I don't really think I'm riding that hard, but do need to get new knee and elbow sliders OK - just kidding on that last part.

BINGO, took mine off for this exact reason! Yes they are nice + comfortable. But, if you ride hard, they don't belong on your bike.

I bought the Kuryakyn extenders for mine. 1 inch out and 1 inch forward. Much more comfortable, and more of my foot planted on the board. I consider myself to be an aggressive rider and I have yet to drag the boards with these on. Boards would drag on a regular basis before I installed these extenders.

2010 Limited with some stuff
