Default 14 Limited

I was told this by my dealer today.

Open Recall:
2014 TOURING Electra GlideŽ Ultra Limited

The following list contains the campaign number and a brief description:

Recall Notice: 0157NaNRCL:2014 TOURING ABS BRAKELINE

We strongly urge you to take your motorcycle to your dealer to have the appropriate service performed as soon as possible. Should you choose to ride your motorcycle prior to this service, we urge you to be aware of this condition. Some product campaigns may have expired and you may have to pay for the service. Please see your local Harley-Davidson dealer for further details.

I don't understand this...why would one have to pay for the service associated with a recall. First time I have heard/read anything like that...

My brother has a '14 Streetglide and they performed this recall on his as well. Is it just Ultra Limited or all the "Glides"?

One of the guys I ride with has this bike:

I have ridden it many times. Its a truly amazing motorcycle. But it took nine (9) visits back and forth to the dealer to get it right. After that it was all good. Then, number ten came. I guess this recall will make number eleven. I am seeing him tomorrow and will mention this, and the other thread to him. Hopefully when he hits an even DOZEN trips to the dealer, these issues will be sorted out. Because its WAY too nice of a motorcycle to have all these problems!

I called my dealer. They said that they do not have any parts yet to fix this recall. Just ride it until your next oil change is what they told me.

Cable ties are the answer if the brake line isn't damaged. If the line is damaged, the dealer will have to have a new line overnighted to them to do the complete repair. G

Ps. My dealer told me that the part has to be ordered to your VIN, that is why they do not stock a supply of lines.
