Looking for some info from some of the brothers in Memphis.

Want to go to Beale St on the fourth. The Hampton is full. There's a Super 8 not too far away, but this is Memphis.

Where is a safe place to stay?

Would appreciate your insight.

Don't know which direction you're coming in town from, but once I got my fill of Beale St., I get out of downtown area before I put my head on a pillow.

Rode down from Canada last summer, stayed at the Hampton, travelled around, enjoyed Beale St, and the sights. No issue at all. Go and enjoy..

 

Often when I go to Memphis I stay in Southaven MS. Southern Thunder HD is just down the highway too.

 

My wife and I will be going to Memphis in a few months also. I want to monitor this discussion for ideas too.

 

Go to Pearls restaurant about 2 blocks south of Beale St for some great food.

 

Another outstanding restaurant is Rendezvous a couple blocks of Beal. Its down an alley behind a big hotel and is one of the best restaurants I have eaten at. BB Kings is pretty good too, on Beal St.

 

If your staying at the Best Western the Rendezous is in the alley behind your Hotel.
Another great place to eat is called "Flights".
Just like wine or beer flights you entree or deserts can be done various ways.
But great Music everywhere
