Did the put stock Cams in my 05' Road King
Hey all,
Got my Road King back from the shop. Had my local dealer with a mechanic with a great reputation do my top end.
Took it out on the highway this morning for the first time after the rebuild.
Found it to be a lot more powerful than it was before. Perhaps after 128K I started to forget what it was like when I first got it.
Anyway, I asked for stock cams because I'm convinced that for long touring I'll get better mid range power and the best gas mileage.
The cams they used were 25534-99 and 25544-00. It does not give the grind when I look up the part numbers. It just tells me they are for a carburated 88" Dyna.
Does this ring a bell with anyone? They surely are stock cams but are they the right ones. If they are different than the original, what benefit would there be to run these cams. Again, I want to emphasize, I am kooky for gas mileage because of frequent 1200 mile trips.
Thanks!
