Default Handle bar adjustment or replace

I just picked up the 17 tri glide and the Handel bars are really low I was able to raise them slightly by removing the ignition lock and shield and loosening two hex bolts

But the fairing is preventing my from raising them to where I would like them

Question is the fairing adjustable so I can adjust the bars ???

Or should I look at replacing the bars altogether ???

I had a 07 road king classic that I changed the stock bars to heritage bars on

Any suggestions ????

Search for some of the threads here and in the touring forums, a lot of discussion about bars. Seems like most folks go with the Khrome Werks 2+2s, either wide sweepers, or their narrow sweepers (like I did.) Save big bucks and do it yourself, if you had no issue adjusting the stock ones, it's a relatively easy job.

These worked out perfect for me

back far enough I don't stretch to reach

Perfect height to keep cold air off knuckles in cold weather

Bars are not that tuff I had the same problem I changed to the 2+2 wide sweepers. One reason I purchased Khrome Werks bars they don't want an arm and a leg and the quality is second to none. ride safe Fred
