Default Need advice on bars for RoadGlide

Let's start off by giving you some stats. I am about 5'8" and riding a 07 Road Glide with the Clearview windshield, it's a little wider. Want to get some bars that are a little more comfortable, I have heard there are apull backbars and some are using Heritage bars. Are there any other good options out there? Any recommendations are welcome and don't be afraid to show some pictures of your Road Glides with the bars on them. What's the difference in the pullbacks and the Heritage bars?

I'm the same height as you and also ride a RG. I put Road King Reduced Reach bars on mine. Pulled the bars back and narrowed the distance between grips somewhat. Made it easier to sit upright without having to lean forward to reach bars. Heritage bars will have the same effect, I think they come back even further. One word of caution, when you bring the bars back and closer you lose a bit of leverage for slow speed manuvering. Not much, but it takes a bit to get used to the change in feel. I love the more comfortable seating position the bars give me. Good luck.

Heritage bars - Or If you like Chubby Bars - Check out Wild 1's 8 1\2" Mini Apre (that's what I have on mine) or there WO515s

Ifyou look at the Wild 1's, take a look at the 517s. They are made for a Road Glide. I have them on my Road Glide, and yes, you lose a little low speed leverage, but being 5'9", and with my arms being "reach" challenged, I love them.

I have the heritage bars and love them. No cable changes needed although the brake line had to be slightly reshaped but not a big deal.

I agree with the Wide Glide "Mini Apes". Here is a link to my thread onthe installation of these bars on my bike. My photos are a little darker than ROLLNTIGER's but they are the same bars and I give you a few tips to go with.

I think I paid $65 at the dealership for the mini apes and didn't have to change any cables. I'd actually like mine a little taller but at you height they should be just the ticket.

I am 5'7"( 5'8" on a good day) and i have the wide glide bars on my 07 road glide they are perfect, but i have a extra short clearview shield on my bike and i wanted to get a taller one for the winter so i ordered the clearview gt small and it will not work with the bars. when you turn the bars all the way either direction they hit the sheild. so i will be senting my shield back.
