Lifted
Scissor jack specs for the nay-sayers:1,000 pound cap.

All necessary bolts hit with DeepCreep, and loosened. (No surprises this way)

Rear supported:

My Plan: Use the scissor jack to aid with alignment.
We’ll see how that plays out.
🤔

Parts scheduled delivery on Friday.

Nothing particularly difficult to get to.
(With a lift table 😎 )

I loved the added room that was created under the seat after I removed the stock adjuster and mount.
I used that area for tucking away the trailer lights wiring harness, fuses for my Cicada amp and the Motohorn Compressor / relay.

The ride improvement was the real benefit tho!

Done;
Included instructions: were on point.
ETA: I removed a rear lift that was on the trike(manufacturer unknown), and installed the DKC components.

Approx 2 hours for both comfort lift and shock replacement.
(Loosening up everything prior helped)

My system of moving the scissor jack instead of the rear end worked out
(for me).
None of the bolts were ‘hard’ to get to.
All tasks preformed with normal hand tools.
Trickiest part: torquing the bottom shock bolts.
Tip: get a set of torque adapters for your tool box.

90* to to your torque wrench, NO adjustment of torque necessary.
It not at 90, get out your calculator.

All others pretty simple
Too late to road tonight.

It threads from the inside to the outside.
No room for a socket.

50 mile road test this morning
26* when I left the garage.
Mix of back country roads, a railroad crossing, and 60mph🤣 highway.

If you’re on the fence about swapping to these shocks……
DO IT!

HUGE difference,
Not “riding on cloud”, but takes the “harsh” out of dips, road patches, bridge transitions, etc.
THIS is how H-D should build them.
It would prevent the “Harley Trikes ride like 💩” complaints.

ETA: I am not an employee, nor was I compensated in any way for these posts.

I knew some have done this without taking the body off, but I was also taking exhaust off for cam, and replacing joint ends on the track bar. So it made more sense for me to take it off. Obviously, super easy to do it without the body on and it's just not that much work to take it off.... Plus I don't have a lift table, so that is a lot less fun for me.

But ya, totally agree... Ridiculous factory can't put a better ride out on a trike sofa. Much better over what we had which wasn't factory. It's such a no brainer. For me the instructions were a hair confusing on orientation because I didn't have stock, but I messaged DK and he responded right away. So ya, just no reason not to call them and get it done now for anyone. Great write up.
