Default Best Apple Car Play Adapter - 2020 H-D Tri-Glide

Looking for recommendations on the best Apple Car Play adapter for my 2020 H-D Tri-Glide. My desire is to us my iPhone 17 wirelessly, if possible, and view Apple Car Play on my OEM Boom Box GTS infotainment system. I will settle with using my phone wired if that is the only way to get Apple Car Play, but ideally wirelessly is my goal. I also have a WHIM installed and use Pack Talk Edge headsets.

Does anyone have a tried & true answer? Thanks for your time and responses in advance.

Steve

If you plug the phone in CarPlay should work. I have a HD Sena 50S and must be connected BEFORE you plug in the phone in. Don't know about Cardo.
Wireless adapters I have tried loose connection sometimes. AutoSky

I have the Cardo Edge units. I have removed the WHIM unit and replaced it with a Sena freeware unit. I use the Quadlock Wireless CarPlay adapter plugged into my glove box and it is paired to my iPhone 14. Cardo sits on handlebar or in tour pak and I get all output from GTS wirelessly

Sena freeware provides the "bluetooth output" needed for wireless. Lots of links about this type setup here on the forum.

This is what I use on my 2024 Tri-Glide and also have same unit on my Audi Q5. Works great in both vehicles.

I do used a wired headset on my TG but I don't think you using a wireless headset would be an issue. All CarPlay is looking for is a connected microphone and it should recognize yours.

Agreed, and it does. However, I wish to use Apple Car Play wirelessly and so I just purchased, hasn't arrived yet, the Quad Lock Wireless CarPlay/Android Auto Adaptor. It would appear, (I haven't verified yet), that the adapter plugs into the USB port on my 2020 Tri-Glide thus allowing my iPhone to operate wirelessly with Apple Car Play.

I just delivered my trike to my dealer today for my annual maintenance and I used Apple Car Play through my iPhone wired into the USB port. The display on my trike is great. I also used Google Maps to my dealer to test out the H-D Pack Talk Edge and everything worked just as it should have with Google Maps voicing the directions to my headset interrupting the music I was playing on the trike. I'm hoping the Quad Lock Wireless CarPlay adapter will work the same way eliminating the need for the wire from iPhone to Trike.

That should work as you anticipate. As long as you are just wanting iPhone output wirelessly.
Output from the GTS would require an adaptor to send via bluetooth.

I had called QuadLock and was told they are not sure how it would work on bikes.

Yes, I made the same phone call. I have ordered the wireless adapter and intend to try it on my trike and post the results. Quadlock has advised me that I have 30 days to return the adapter for a full refund if it does not work.

Update: I ordered and tried the QuadLock on my 2020 H-D Trike. Wirelessly the sound works in Apple Car Play however the Boom Box on the H-D does not display. So, it seems that the USB wire from my iPhone to the trike is the best option and the cheapest too. I'll be returning the Quad Lock for a full refund.
