Default HOw many of you like and trust your HD Dealer

I am having great success in dealing with sales, parts, and service at my home HD dealer, who also owns 2 other HD dealerships in NC. I was wondering how many of you feel about where you get HD dealer support.

Cool

That's a tough question, I have two dealers that I deal with and I like both of them and trust them to a point but I don't trust either of them enough to leave my bike and check book with them unattended ! ! !

The auto and motorcycle dealers are slime *****. Sell you the product then try to cram extended warranty and add on fees down your throat. Local dealer sold my brother a bike last week charged him dealer prep delivered bike with no keys, so we rode to the dealer to pick them up. Turns out they lost them. While riding back to work noticed his rear tire looked low, checked both tires he 18 in the front and 22 in the back. I guess the dealer prep was pushing it off the showroom floor and throwing the keys in the trash.

I have two dealers close to me. The general manager at the closest one is an (&%$*&$#) In the past I bought from them. I will never do business with that dealer until he leaves. The farther dealer is the one I bought me bike from in October. Everyone there have been great.

The local dealer here is OK. The sales, parts and retail have been very fair to me.
The owner does a great job of sponsering our local HOG group.
The service department I dont trust at all.

There are several dealers around me. Luckly, the one I like the best is only 2-1/2 miles from my house.

I always go to the dealership that I bought my bike from. There sales and parts department is amazing. I buy most all my parts from them and I would highly recommend that anyone looking to buy a new bike, buy from them. There service department, however, needs to take a lesson from there other departments, they are terrible. They act like you ruined there day by just asking about service.

I personally know the owner and his wife of all three dealerships your referring about. But I have been dealing with dealerships when I first started producing my product and have seen bs work done to get it out the door. A lot of loose nuts and bolts! Even from the place you frequent. The owner and his wife are ok to talk with. But the mechanics that do the work arent paid all that great and if they can get a 5 hour job done in 3, which awards them of the pay out of 5 hours for that 3. They cut corners. Certain things that's done to the bike warrants a road test. Which I've seen skipped quite a bit. Double checking that the nuts and bolts are tight after installation of something new. Too many times Ive witnessed loose bolts. I do all my own work on my scoot. How the heck can I complain that they didnt do a job correctly when my ride results in a crash from their negligent work? Especially if I die in that wreck. Like I said. I trust my work and only my work. No one works on my scoot and No one rides on it either. Just me and of course at times. My ol lady.
