V-Rod and tall riders
I am interested in a v-rod but I am 6'5 and wonder if I would feel cramped. Are there control extensions available? I currently ride a fatboy with the hd tallboy seat and 3inch floorboard extensions. All harleys seem small to me until I do something like this. Thanks for the info.
There are two options I know about---
1. Harley-Davidson's TallBoy seat (made for the VRSCA, VRSCB, VRSCD or '05 VRSCSE) or another aftermarket seat for increased distance to pegs.
2. Using the "reach" pegs, which are designed to reduce the distance from the seat, but using them on the opposite side they are intended for and thereby increasing the distance from the seat.
Like any other H-D (or bike for that matter, being 6'5") you are going to have to make changes to get it to feel better, but I think that the VRSCA, AW, B, DX, SE, or X models have one of thelongest stretches availablestock from the factory.

I'm a hair under 6'5" 195lbs and have no comfort issues with the V-Rod. Stock seat and controls. I'm also fine on sportbikes so really, a lot of this depends on the shape you're in, the flexibility you have.

Not really. I lead 500 mile sporting group rides in Colorado all the time. We leave at dawn and return 500 miles later hitting mountain passes and distant canyons. No pain, no issues. I'm comfortable leaning forward and stretching the back on the sportbike. I'm comfortable putting all the weight on the back cruiser style with the legs out front. No issues with the knees either style. 36" inseam. 50 yrs. To be sure, I work out, hike/climb, and exercise the limbs/back for I need them, and this is especially the case when takinga sportbiketo the track.

Well I am 6'8" and ride a 2006 Street Rod VSCR and love it!! I cant really stretch my legs out due to peg positioning but it has larger frame than regular V-Rod and after I put my 2 into D&D Pipes, screamin eagle breather and had it Dyno Tuned Woo-Hooo runs like a sportbike/cruiser Hybrid from Hell!!
Well i used to have forward controls and had them replaced with mid controls and had it lowered cause i'm 5ft but my husband is about 6'5 , he can ride my bike, but just looks funny.
