My "Outlaw" style Night Rod Special
Well here's my DX. Besides new wheels, it's done. The look isn't for everyone, but then again neither is the bike itself. Fits me great though.
Mods include:
• D&D FatCat pipes
• K&N filter
• V&H FuelPak
• Arnott Air Ride
• Avon Cobras
• Performance Machine Elite grips
• Bad-VR Rifle Roadster Fairing
• 10" Lick's Z-Bars (internally wired)
• Lick's Mirror
• Painted Tins (lost the stripes)
• Black HD hand levers
• Radiantz Forkerz LED front signals
• Radiantz 240 LED rear signals
• custom license plate mount
• Superchicken custom derby cover
• Sportster gators (make shift boots)
*UPDATE: New wheels on!
Sorry for the crappy iPhone pics.

Thanks. The tank is under the seat tho, so that doesn't leave much...
I hear what your saying though, the fairing and bars are definitely not for everyone. If I wanted the traditional "sick looking" V-Rod, I'd have just thrown on drag bars like everyone else. What I wanted was comfort on my frequent 200 mile rides and function over form with a unique look. I also happen to love the outlaw-style Dynas and Softails and have never seen a V Rod with that theme...

Well, they've been on for 2 seasons and about 14,000 miles and I feel like the ride quality is just about the same as stock. The big advantage comes from the fact that they go about 2" higher than stock which almost eliminates any chance of bottoming out, ever, especially riding 2-up. Then of course slamming it when parked is awesome.
Best mod hands down.
